The
Majestic Story
I had been breeding and showing
Miniature Schnauzer's for quite a few years and had always admired Kerry's from
a distance. If they were being shown near, or in my ring, before schnauzer
judging, I always watched. Kerries looked so regal and impressive.
I became very
friendly with Aileen and Richard Santo who also bred Mini Schnauzers. They
happened to own a Kerry and were at the time
showing her;
Ch.
Blu Stars Kerri Dancer.
“Maggie”, as they called her, was such a lovable dog I became very
fond of the breed.
One day Richie said to me “Doug,
you have got to have one of “Maggie’s” puppies.” I did not think I
could handle, or live, with a Kerry. Boy was I wrong. I arranged to get
a puppy bitch from “Maggie’s” first litter, who eventually became
Ch. Paxon' Majestic Emerald
Isle.
“Kelly”,
as I called her, was not only a GREAT Kerry, she also became my pal. To
this day I miss her, and that was more than 25 years ago.
My friend, to this day, Aileen
Santo, taught me everything about grooming and conditioning a Kerry, and was
also there when I needed help. I guess it all paid off, because here I am
today, showing and breeding wonderful Kerry Blues, including My
Ch. Paxon’s Majestic Thane of
Cawdor, “Mac”, who finished in the top twenty in
2002, and competed in the Eukanuba invitational in Orlando FL. Dec. 11, 2002.
I am currently showing “Mac’s” young
daughter,
Ch. Majestic's
Hello Dolly of Dalton
& having lots of fun.
Please take the time to browse my site & visit with some of my dogs.
